Alberto Montero, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Hematology Oncology Division at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He completed his medical studies at the University of Texas in Galveston, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas, Houston Health Science Center and a Hematology Oncology fellowship in internal medicine at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Montero is a medical oncologist with clinical expertise in breast and gastrointestinal cancers. In addition, he has served as principal investigator in over 20 trials over the last 6 years. His primary research interests are in development of effective immunotherapeutic strategies for the treatment of solid tumors. He has published over 40 peer reviewed articles.
